I was surprised when the play started. The actors played the witches very well. They looked so sick and vile. I was impressed with the choreography. There was so many actors on stage I thought a mistake and accident was bound to happen. I read Macbeth in my AP Literature class my senior year and I was pretty interested in it. I have also read other Shakespeare plays and they all are interesting. They were intended to be acted out and entertain the queen and all her loyal subjects. I was a little dissapointed in the way UCSB played out the play since the costumes were pretty boring. I personally love fashion and the play didn't cut it for me. The acting was good but I hope they get costumes for the future showings. The man who was playing Macbeth was way to old. I was disgusted when Macbeth and Lady Macbeth kissed because Lady Macbeth was incredibly younger that Macbeth. The director seriously has to match up the characters by their age. The fight that was played out in the end could have been better. I was getting bored. I was pretty thankful I went with my bestfriend and guyfriend because we made a joke or too to keep us awake during the play. I enjoyed the story of the play and always seem to find another interesting line every time I come across the play. The actors managed to project their voices pretty well to the entire audience. I know for sure they did not have any microphones. Also when Lady Macbeth came out I was relieved that their was some life of fashion. I really liked her outfit and hair. It was pretty simple yet elegant. Like I said I did enjoy the acting of the play.
